Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I ordered the Masala Dosa with cucumber raita. The concept of this dish is great and works in practice superbly as a pancake with potato filling, accompanied by a couple of sauces on the side, each providing a succinct and additional layer of flavor. The cucumber raita was delicious as well and provided a great counter balance to the pancake. The only complaint is the pancake could have used plenty more of the filling, as it was kind of half empty."
"Time and again I visit this small eatery near my office to have an evening snack along with friends who enjoy the piping hot chai they serve here. Very polite and decent staff. I wish them the best."
"I visited this restaurant today and absolutely loved the food and service! I started with the chicken momos – they were super tasty, soft, and full of flavor. The sauce that came with it was just perfect – spicy, tangy, and so delicious. Then I tried the samosa chaat, and wow, that was easily a 10/10 for me! The mix of crispy samosa, chutneys, and spices was just spot on. Finally, I had the Mysore dosa – the masala inside was flavorful, and the sambar had that authentic South Indian taste I really miss. Everything was cooked perfectly and served fresh. Overall, a wonderful experience – great food, friendly service, and real Indian flavors in Berlin! Definitely coming back again."
"I ordered here for the first time yesterday and was absolutely blown away by how delicious the food was. We have a lot of Indian restaurants in Moabit but this one feels different, more authentic and really flavorful. Everything tasted excellent, from the dhosa to the tikka masala, biryani. Will absolutely be ordering from here again and can highly recommend it. Only downside is that preparation for pick-up takes a while but it just means everything is being cooked fresh. Inside is small and rustic but also shares the authenticity."
"I had an amazing experience at this Indian restaurant. I ordered the momos, dosa, and lamb curry, and every dish was full of flavor. The momos were perfectly cooked and delicious, the dosa was crispy and fresh, and the lamb curry was rich, tender, and beautifully spiced. Everything tasted homemade and authentic. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone who loves great Indian food."
"We had chicken dosa, malabar parotha, chicken momos and cherry on top 1 masala chai. We really loved it. Even if it's a new restaurant, they cook really well also it's cheaper than other restaurants. I would recommend for sure."
"I recently visited this Himalaya masala restaurant and ordered chhatinath chicken, butter chicken, and Malabar paratha along with samosa chat. As someone from Nepal, I’m always curious how these fusion restaurants manage to balance authenticity with regional twists — and overall, I was pleasantly surprised. would happily return, recommend it to friends."
"Absolutely delicious food! Authentic Indian flavors, fresh ingredients, and friendly service. I especially enjoyed the momo and samosa, they were very good.. One of the best Indian restaurants around! Thanks to Himalaya Masala Restaurant for serving amazing food."
